|'Try Curling' Sessions
Sat 29th Sep. 2012 - 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Never tried the game of curling? Have you seen it on the TV or maybe been introduced to it by a friend who is a curler and wanted to have a go? Then these sessions are ideal for you.
Over the 3 hour session you will be taught the very basics of the game of curling, from how to get onto the ice sheet safely, how to sweep, get a feel for being on the ice and how a stone reacts to your input, and most importantly getting you to delivery a stone the full length of the rink.
Edinburgh Curling School work closely with both Murrayfield Curling Ltd and The Royal Caledonian Curling Club to provide come and try sessions throughout the curling season (Sep-April). These have been very well attended over the past few season, and we seen record numbers of new curlers coming to these sessions following the coverage of the Winter Olympics.
If you are interested in attending a come & try session or would like further information then please contact Debbie Kerr at Murrayfield Curling Ltd for full details. Also, please ensure to register to avoid disappointment.
